Welcome to this Il Borro wedding in Tuscany at the famous Relais near San Giustino Valdarno. This wedding features a trendsetting reception decor. Yes, that’s right; this wedding started a trend in the wedding industry. Before we discuss this, let’s start at the beginning.
Il Borro Relais is one of the best locations for a destination wedding in the Tuscan countryside. During your stay at this luxury estate owned by the Ferragamo Family, you can stay in the medieval village (after which the venue takes its name), or you can rent the main villa which overlooks the picture-perfect hamlet of Il Borro.
Spend your days lounging by the infinity swimming pool or treat yourself to a spa relaxation package. If you feel like a little more activity, enjoy some horse riding and explore the estate including the vineyards and olive groves.
The wedding day is on us, and we have over 100 guests from all around the world gathered to celebrate with our lovely couple. The bride and groom are getting ready in the main villa. At the same time, the majority of the guests are staying in the village.
Our wedding ceremony will take place in the church in the village. This quaint little chapel sits aside the square in the center of Il Borro village. It is the perfect location to celebrate a wedding.
After the ceremony, the guests exit the church and lineup in the square with petals. Our happy newlyweds leave the church and exit to cheers and excitement. On the other side of the piazza, a champagne tower awaits them. The bride and groom start to fill the glasses with champagne until the overflowing champagne then cascades down, filling the other glasses.
Everyone enjoys a lovely refreshing glass of bubbles before we all walk from the village to the main villa where the celebrations will start.
There are drinks and canapes in the Italian gardens, and this gives everyone the chance to mingle, congratulate the newlyweds, relax and have a great time.
Before the dinner starts on the terrace, the photographer takes the couple for a few photos around the villa. They have chosen a lovely classic car to use in the pictures and help them move around Il Borro.
While they enjoy their photo shoot with our professional photographer, we place the finishing touches on the wedding reception. There is a long imperial table on the terrace under the villa. This terrace overlooks the Italian gardens and Il Borro village and is a perfect setting for a wedding reception at Il Borro.
The decor and design are our original design, and I am proud to say that we were the first to introduce this style of hanging the chandeliers. We developed the look and iron supports together with the caterer. It is now a very imitated and copied style – we made a trend!
